Have been using mouth tape for about five years now - no dry mouth or snoring. At first the thought was scary - sort of claustrophobic - so I'd put the tape on and count to 10 then rip it off... then 50 and so on until I found I was breathing perfectly normally and the tape no longer bothered me. These are my two grandchildren who ask for it every night and both sleep longer and better and wake happy. They were both chronic snorers with mouths wide open before they started taping.
No more glue on my lips like with other tape, super comfortable thanks to the elasticity, and the design makes me smile every time – I’m smiling in every sense :)
The Beauty Sleep mouth tape really works. It's comfortable, stays put, and the small slit in the middle doesn't completely cut off air flow through your mouth if you need it.
It took a few nights for me to use the mouth tape effectively. For the first couple of nights, I found my mouth was still separating a little bit and I was still able to breath through my mouth. Which is a good thing because there was never a claustrophobic or "The Matrix" vibe going on while I was adjusting.
Since the tape is flexible and breathable, there is some stretchy movement which makes it comfortable. But the adhesive stays in place and I never busted out of the mouth tape nor did it bunch up or fold funny. It stays in place.
At about the third or fourth night, my lips stayed together. I made sure to adjust the placement so my lips were a bit "tighter" together and I was fully breathing through my nose. I was concerned about the adhesive because I am that girl that has sensitive skin and I can get an allergic reaction to adhesive on my skin depending on whatever is going on with my hormones, the air/tempertaure, mercury in retrograde or just because. haha. I also always have dry lips and use lip balm/salve all day. Three weeks in and my skin and lips have been fine. No allergic reaction, and my lips don't feel dry. Maybe it even helps seal in a little moisture to my lips overnight?
I am noticing slightly more restful sleep and less of that "coating" in my mouth and dry mouth from sleeping with my mouth open. My results would probably be better if I could sleep through the night without having to pee and feeling restless and itchy and hot (that's a separate issue related to perimenopause and adjusting HRT.)
The only reason I didn't rate the mouth tape five stars is that there are a couple of drawbacks for me, one major and one super minor:
1. After three weeks, the last few times I've used the mouth tape, I'm waking up in the morning with my jaw clenching. I don't know if this is a temporary side effect or something I can conditon myself not to do with the mouth tape. Do I have to choose between jaw clenching or dry mouth? We shall see.
2. You can't use Face ID on your phone with the mouth tape on. Okay, this is a minor inconvenience (first world problem) and a good reminder that I don't need my phone anywhere near my sleep hygiene routine. I just have to remember to set my alarm or do any last minute things on my phone before I put the tape on. I can still type in my numerical passcode. Just something my princess-self noted.
Overall, this product is excellent and if you are having a hard time choosing between the different options out there, if you have concerns about comfort, breathability, allergic reactions or that this will keep you from breathing if your sinuses stuff up, don't worry, this is the one. I highly recommend Beauty Sleep.
I’ve used a CPAP for 5 yrs & had many issues with it including major nose bleeds. I mainly need to stop mouth breathing so that I don’t snore and so I don’t get a swollen uvula. This tape has reduced my snoring and works better than other products. The tape stays on and is easy to remove in the morning. Also no break outs on my skin.
The tape is very easy to use. It is very comfortable. I was quite surprised. I am thankful that I found this. My sleeping is much better and the loud noises that I am embarrassed to say are much quieter so my hubby is happier too. I do wear a bite guard and that has not been a problem. I am able to have a sip of water and put the tape back on. I have been using a little over 2 weeks and through the night. The first 2 nights I took it off after 6 or so hours but I was never worried. Thank you! I will continue to use.
Life changing - my sleep is incredible, my energy is boundless and I've recommended these to anyone who will listen to me! Thank you for creating these.
I just started using these Beauty Sleep tape mouth 👄 (3 nights) so I haven’t noticed much. But prior to this I did try another brand (1 week) and I have to say that the Beauty Sleep brand is far more superior. No sticky glue when I rip it off and does stick even when I have lip stuff on when I put it on at night (It a must since I have dry lips throughout the day). But the fact that it stays on is a huge bonus for me. I hope I will see more once I wear them longer. But so far so good! 😊
I have suffered from the effects of sleeping with my mouth open for years. The incredible dry mouth, the snoring, the drooling, the poor sleep. I have tried other mouth tape and felt as if I was suffocating. But I am thrilled to tell you that this mouth tape is a game changer. I am sleeping all through the night. No more parched mouth, waking me up to drink a lot of water during the night, then using the bathroom every couple hours. My husband says I am not snoring any more! I'm just so happy with the Beauty Sleep mouth tape.
We both have sleep apnea and we are like dinosaurs when sleeping and snoring every night. I convinced my husband that we both try it and I can’t believe that in just 3 nights of sleeping with mouth tape, we both had a really good sleep score and feeling rested after a good night’s sleep. I felt that it will be a crucial part of our night routine forever. Men can wear pink tapes too. He’s so happy with the benefits thought lol.
I suffer from sleep apnea and snoring. In 2011 my doctor recommended I attend a Buteyko Breathing Clinic. The first thing they did in the clinic was pass out a roll paper tape and had us cover our mouths so we would be forced to breathe through our noses. My sleep quality began to improve tremendously. I have taped my mouth when I go to bed for 14 years. Now I have Beauty Sleep lips instead of paper tape. Beauty Sleep is attractive and works much better than paper tape. I consistently score 100 on my CPAP review each morning when I get up!
I was worried at first, but the Beauty Sleep mouth tape is so comfortable (and even with a little hayfever , the hole stops any feelings of panic. I was developing jowls around my mouth for the last year or more, but after using this product for a couple of weeks I’ve definitely noticed smoother skin in this area and my face looks more even around my jawline. Best of all, I’m not waking up with a dry mouth from sleeping with my mouth open And am sleeping through the night now, without waking for water. I also use a nose strip and have done on and off for years. The mouth tape was a game changer though. It comes off easily in the morning too without any irritation oto my skin. It does not leave any extra lines either.Lastly I also love the colour and shape.
Hi…this is an update to my review from last week.
I can honestly say, I love wearing the mouth tape. It keeps my mouth closed, especially since I sleep on my back.
I have noticed my mouth area is even improving with less wrinkles.
I’m excited to see how this journey of taping goes on!!
I was skeptical at first, but beauty sleeep has completely transformed my nights—and my mornings! Mouth taping felt a bit unconventional, but the results speak for themselves. I wake up feeling genuinely refreshed, with deeper sleep and zero dry mouth. My skin looks better, my energy is up, and I’ve even noticed improved focus during the day.
The tape is gentle yet secure, and I love that it’s designed specifically for beauty and wellness. It’s become a non-negotiable part of my nighttime routine. If you’re curious about optimizing your sleep and overall health, this is a must-try. Total game-changer!
I used to have sleep apnea, I’ve lost 20kgs and have been able to reverse that. So no more machine for me. But I was still snoring a little so thought I’d give these a go. I started off with just a nose tape but still snored a little so added the mouth tape. Amazing no more snoring. I didn’t take long to adjust and find it no problem to sleep with on. I didn’t take long find it a little harsh on the lips when removing so I just pop a little balm on before applying and it’s fine. Would recommend these for sure.
I have been very impressed with the “Pink Lips”. Mostly, it has stopped my snoring, and now my husband doesn’t have to wear ear plugs anymore. Also, my mouth isn’t dry when I wake up. So we are both benefitting, and I would highly recommend this product for anyone who needs help with sleeping.
This works! I’m blown away by the changes I feel. I’m excited to tape at night, I’m sad to remove in the morning. I have always been a mouth breather and didn’t think it was possible to change that. This mouth tape works, it’s soft, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and the mouth hole allows me to take a sip of water, or whisper. My nighttime routine now involves taping and then enjoying a peaceful nights sleep.
Today is Tuesday evening and I just started wearing the mouth tape on Saturday evening….so I’m 3 nights in. So far so good, I think I see a change…but it’s too early for me to say for sure.
If I can, I’ll add an update.
I’ve been using the tape now for a week. I like the fact it has a hole in the middle as I can still drink water through the night through a straw. I also appreciate waking up without a painfully dry mouth and throat. I think I sleep more restfully but too early to tell. The tape is very sticky and I have been able to use the same tape for 2 nights with good results . By using lip balm and peeling the tape off carefully in the morning I don’t have any skin or lip problems. But the best thing is I don’t snore. I found this very embarrassing.
Never thought that I'd be taping my mouth at night...but it works. I have been sleeping better. The small hole does help, but sometimes it takes a few times to line up so I actually get air (if needed, more for water consumption). However, with the taping, I have woken up in the morning without dry mouth! I didn't realize how much I open my mouth at night! Great product, though the tape is strong and I'm afraid that it'll impact the skin around my mouth with constant usage. So far so good!
It is fantastic - no more dry mouth for me. have given a few samples to friends and they have asked me for more - so I will be putting in an order straight away as I only ordered 4 pkts
Yes, it looks ridiculous, yes, it feels weird (at first) but Yes - it really works!
I have had THE best nights of sleep ever since I started taping! I was nervous but decided to try it after my dentist was concerned about my snoring.
In an effort to reduce snoring and snag some better quality sleep, I took a chance on this after getting targeted on social. I was skeptical, but shocked at my zero-transition, comfortable slip into some of the best sleep I've ever had. Even my bed partner had to comment "You were very quiet!" The small hole in the center makes these very easy to adapt to and I've had no issues with any irritation from the adhesive - I just add some lip balm in the AM and honestly can't wait to tape up again the following evening. Highly recommend and on my way to place my next order now!
I’ve used the beauty sleep mouth tapes for 2 weeks. I have been told by my husband that I still snore but much quieter!! The tape has not affected my delicate skin or given me a rash as some tapes do, and I don’t even notice it’s there. I feel I have a bit more energy on waking and my throat does not feel as dry.
I will buy more when I’ve finished this bundle of tapes.
