It started with one mouth breather

Our co-founder Keri started mouth taping to help her husband, a lifelong mouth breather. The verdict? Best. Sleep. Ever.

So she tried it too, and quickly noticed something. Every mouth tape out there was made for him: plain rectangles, bandage-style glue and a lot of biohacker-bro energy. Nothing was made for a woman’s lips, a woman’s skin, or a woman who’d already been everyone’s person all day.

Then the orders rolled in, and the people falling for it weren’t wellness bros. They were women. So we went all in and made Beauty Sleep for women only. No beards were consulted.

We remade our glue 27 times. Yes, really.

Mouth tape has one job with two halves: stay put all night, then let go nicely in the morning. Some of our early recipes clung on like a toddler at school drop-off. Some gave up before midnight. Recipe number 27 finally nailed both.

First up, the adhesive. Does it hold? Does it let go gently? If the glue isn’t behaving, the batch doesn’t move on.

Yes, someone sniffs the tape

It sits right under your nose for 8 hours, so it shouldn’t smell like anything. Our second check is a smell test. Fancy notes of “nothing at all” only.
